Sales Account Manager

Purpose of the position

 

Navis is seeking a Sales and Account Manager, ANZ to develop and manage relationships with clients in the Australia-New Zealand region. The Sales and Account Manager should have a proven track record of quickly earning the trust of customer and key stakeholders, mobilizing and motivating teams, setting direction and approach, resolving conflict, delivering tough messages with grace, executing with limited information and ambiguity, and influencing all parties to achieve desired response.  This is a sales/revenue generating position that will cover both net new sales and sales to the existing client base.  Navis has a strong and diverse customer base in the ANZ region that includes clients running the following Navis products:  N4, Master Terminal, Octopi by Navis, and Biarri by Navis. The region has a strong new business upside across Navis’ new and expanding solution sets.  

 

This position will require a highly engaged sales resource that will be a key player in the APAC regional sales and management team andthat will also need to work closely other corporate departments to manage the region effectively.  A mentality of owning the region and owning the results will be critical to be successful in this rol

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 5-7+ years of sales and/or account management in the maritime industry, container supply chain, marine terminals, industrial transportation industries, or other commercial experience with mission-critical enterprise software solutions. 

  • Terminal Operating System (TOS) solution selling experience highly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience navigating and launching large, complex projects and sales cycles

  • Experienced in Salesforce.com or other sales/customer management solutions

  • Excellent customer success, organization, and communication skills required

  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships

  • Ability to create, analyze, and present customer account and usage reports

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and responding to customer inquiries in an timely and professional manner

  • Driven puzzle solver, identifying and resolving issues and escalations by providing alternative solutions

  • Willing to travel 60% plus

You will be part of:

  • Identify, qualify, secure, and cultivate new customer accounts and business opportunities

  • Drive additional business opportunities with existing account base

  • Maintain and enhance existing customer relationships that will require direct resolution in some cases but will often involve delegation to and communication with other departments

  • Engage colleagues and partners on complex solutions to ensure the appropriate solution for the customers and catering to their needs

  • Manage customer lifecycle satisfaction in both the pre and post sales environment

  • Organize and develop sales activities reports and metrics using SFDC,and client/prospect presentations targeted to specific needs and messaging objectives

  • Make suggestions regarding customer accounts using data and reports to substantiate these recommendations and follow up with the broader Navis organization to complete prospect or customer initiatives and programs focused on building the Navis business and brand
