Senior Director, Professional Services

Position

Navis is looking for a Director Professional Services in APAC who will play a crucial role in growing our services business in the region and leading a top-notch team of Project Managers and Services Consultants. This role will have a sales, delivery and people responsibility. The successful candidate will be an energetic, hands-on leader with proven experience in leading high-end consulting services teams in the rollout of complex software implementations. As the leader of the PS APAC team you will be expected to play an active role in the development and roll-out of new services. To be selected you must be able to clearly articulate what differentiates you from your peers and why this leads to exceptional results. You must be willing to travel throughout Asia with occasional trips to the US.
  
Travel: Approximately 50%  (as/when global health considerations permit)
Location: Position based in (Singapore, Hong Kong)

Education: BS in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or a related degree. MBA or Masters preferred
Reports to: VP and GM APAC

What you’ll need to succeed:

●    Experience owning and delivering against commercial objectives such as sales bookings, utilization, revenue, profit margin.  
●    Proven ability to build and lead high performing teams
●    Proven ability to manage professional services organizations in the enterprise software industry.
●    10+ years in successfully managing highly complex custom software development projects.
●    Experience in managing organizations that implement and upgrade enterprise applications is required.
●    Knowledge of port and / or container terminal information technology
●    Excellent leadership and management skills.
●    Self-starter, energetic, multi-tasker, team player
●    Ability to rapidly establish rapport and develop effective business relationships.
●    Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines
●    Flexibility in working outside office hours as a result of being part of a global company
●    Excellent project/time management skills

You will be part of:

●    Managing and developing 25 Professional Services Staff located throughout the region.
●    Hiring, retaining and motivating the best and brightest employees in order to further grow a high performing team.
●    Selling high quality services deals that will lead to customer satisfaction / success.
●    Developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior operations and IT personnel of key customers and partners.
●    Managing a portfolio of software implementation and upgrade projects on schedule, within budget and with high customer satisfaction.
●    Refining and developing methodologies, tools and programs around implementations, upgrades and other services.
●    Manage the Professional Services KPI’s including Services Revenue, Services Sales and Staff Utilization.
●    Refining, developing and monitoring metrics to assess the strengths of the PS project teams as well as individuals and coaching the team accordingly.
●    Maintaining the Professional Services CRM tool to efficiently manage the business while keeping forecasts, utilization and billing data current and accurate. 
●    Partnering and participating in APAC management leadership team that includes close collaboration and engagement with Sales and Support teams.
●    Partnering with Engineering and Product Management on Professional Services involvement in product testing and beta programs.
●    Partnering with Human Resources to understand and comply with employment standards and cultural norms in various countries where staff are located or working.
