Position Summary

 

We’re seeking a General Manager to lead our field operations team in the Americas region. You will have primary ownership of our customer base from prospecting to sales to software implementation to support. You will directly manage our team of sales, support and professional services teams. Your goals will be to grow the business, ensure successful software implementations and increase customer satisfaction across the Navis customer base. As a Navis executive who is market and customer focused, you will provide important input to our overall company strategy and help define the evolution of our business.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate the team to achieve regional sales and revenue objectives

  • Create and execute deals based on a solutions-driven sales approach. Identify and implement critical differentiators so that Navis is the obvious choice as the vendor with the best solution. Identify, qualify, secure, and cultivate new customer accounts and business opportunities

  • Manage customer satisfaction throughout the customer acquisition, implementation and support lifecycle

 

Specific responsibilities will include the following

 

  • Directly manage the America sales team to exceed regional sales objectives

  • Directly manage the regional customer support team

  • Develop and maintain executive level relationships with key accounts

  • Engage proper resources on complex solutions to ensure the appropriate solution is presented to and sold to the customer

  • Provide oversight and support to the Americas professional services and support teams to build excellence across the entire customer lifecycle and to improve customer satisfaction

  • Engages with key customers and partners in a constructive and professional manner whenever problems or issues do arise

  • Develop strong and lasting relationships with key customers and partners

  • Be visible and active in the marketplace. Speak regularly at conferences and customer forums

Requirements

  • Requires 10+ years sales management and/or general management experience including knowledge of maritime software, logistics, technology and/or comprehensive product/service solutions

  • Must possess superior prospecting, account management, oral, written and presentation skills

  • General management, marketing and multi-lingual abilities are a plus

  • University degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or the equivalent desired
