Sr. Director, Information Technology

Position Description

The Senior Director, Head of Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the operations of the global IT function, managing the infrastructure, strengthening security practices, serving internal clients, and aligning with the company’s business objectives. In this transformational role, you will lead a global IT team through carve-out and transition services with the previous parent company.  The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Cloud, cyber-security, M&A Integration, and shared services transitions. 


  • Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals

  • Recommend and direct information technology and business process plans/projects to support company objectives 

  • Serve as a strategic partner for all M&A activities by developing standard processes, tools, and data-management systems to absorb an acquisition more effectively.

  • Ability to build out standalone IT infrastructure post carve-out from existing parent company

  • Experience in scaling IT infrastructure for SaaS delivery model

  • Spearhead cyber-security activities to ensure appropriate measures are in place

  • Engage all parts of the business, encouraging cross-functional collaboration

  • Direct and prioritize the workload of IT staff (Cloud & Solutions Delivery Operations, R&D Infrastructure Operations, and Business Technology Solutions)

  • Direct implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems 

  • Ensure SOX compliance within the IT and assists other organizations in SOX efforts 

  • Develop and enforce necessary policies and procedures 

  • Maintain excellent relationships with the various departments 

  • Develop reporting such as KPIs and metrics for the business


  • Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field 

  • 15+ years of experience within Information Technology of which at least 10 have been in a management capacity 

  • Experience in Private Equity backed high-growth companies

  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software) and networks, with an emphasis on cloud and security

  • Ability to make tough decisions about integration, including when to leave legacy systems behind and which ones should be migrated to the company’s system

  • Experience with both shared-service and stand-alone services, including transitions

  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications

  • Ability to manage global, remote team members

  • Ability to lead a growing and extremely productive IT team 

  • Project management expertise, including estimating project duration, effort, resource load, and cost 

  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley, including design, testing, and support of compliance efforts

  • Hands-on and able to work in the trenches when necessary. Can lead by example
