At Navis LLC in the UK part of Kalmar Limited, we are looking for a Sales Engineer (m/f/d)  to  
support our sales team mostly at large customers in EMEA Region. The perfect candidate is required to travel across the region to form close relationships with key customers and working across all Navis internal functions (Engineering, Support, Sales, etc.) in the world. The Sales Engineer will lead and develop a product demonstration platform to create a common environment for all Navis solutions (N4, Octopi, RTG optimization, Compass, BI, XVELA, NCVS-Solutions, etc.).

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Prepare Navis offerings in presentations and demonstrations (including demonstration platform, data bases, workflows for each Navis solution separately and between the solutions) 
Create value propositions for all products in the Navis Portfolio 
Customize presentations and demonstrations according to customers’ needs to win opportunities 
Develop a regional go to market strategy for RTG Optimization/Automation 
Collaborate with the Navis products group and EMEA sales team to translate product changes and new developments into customer news and identify and win opportunities 
Inform key customers about the Navis product architecture and advantages and innovative product developments through newsletters, e-mails, calls, meetings and technical presentations. 
Speak at and attend industry conferences (for example on RTG Automation and Optimization, etc.) 
 

What you’ll need to succeed:
  • Significant experience and knowledge in the area of Software Development and Product Management for the maritime industry
  • Proven logistics knowledge (especially in container handling on ships and terminals)
  • Product knowledge for the following would be advantageous (N4, Octopi, RTG optimization, Compass, BI, XVELA, NCVS-Solutions, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Java, C/C++, Javascript, HTML, CSS, XSL, XML, Ruby and Python
  • Experience in speaking and presenting in front of customers and bigger groups
  • Ability to work under pressure and respecting tight deadlines
  • People Management experience and a second language apart from English are a plus
  • Understanding of different cultures
