Position Summary

We’re looking for forward-thinking Senior/Lead engineers to join our team in supporting and maintaining our ever-expanding Cloud offerings.  You will execute on our key strategic initiative of ushering the maritime industry in the modern computing era.


  • Protect, provide for, and progress the software and systems behind all of Navis cloud solutions. Ensure systems meet or beat strict SLA requirements for mission critical systems that power global trade.

  • Define and evanlengize common sets of tools, processes and frameworks across a portfolio of solutions with different levels of maturity, complexity and criticality.

  • Coordinate with engineering teams on Security best practices, Audit, Testing and share results with all stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on data privacy and compliance such as GDPR and FIS

  • Define response to monitoring alerts and contribute to a growing  playbook of procedures. Lead Post Incident Reviews and discussions and enforce best practices. Make recommendations for process improvements and enhanced operational efficiencies. 

  • Build automation to prevent problem recurrence; eventually automate response to all non-exceptional service conditions.

  • Provide 24/7/365 support & incident management for a portfolio of about a dozen Cloud SaaS solutions. Participate in on-call support, ensuring stability and performance of production environments.


  • You have 5+ years in DevOps/Engineering/Engineering in Test roles and have supported and maintained critical production environments

  • Experience working in environments with various Azure based PaaS & SaaS services (Azure AD, Azure SQL, BLOB storage, Redis cache, Azure Web Services, etc.)

  • Experience managing Microsoft Azure environments (VM’s, NSG’s, Resource Groups), Docker and related orchestration technologies. Hands-on experience with Docker, Rancher, Kubernates, Helm.

  • Windows and preferably Linux administration including  bash commands (ssh, scp, sed, awk, grep, netstat etc.)

  • Knowledge in cloud security guidelines such as Security Operation Center (SOC) guidelines) and compliance requirements such as GDPR, FIS etc.

  • High degree of knowledge in networking (protocols, virtual networks, subnets, firewalls)

  • Strong scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform). Ability to write SQL queries and investigate DB logs a plus

  • Understanding and practical application of methodologies like ITIL, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and SRE.

  • Proficient in monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Site 24x7, New Relic, Splunk.

  • Collaborative with extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and collected in stressful situations, such as a major service outage

  • Strong problem solving skills with experience analyzing global scale distributed systems.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, follow through, and ability to prioritize quickly when dealing with multiple items

  • Ability to influence and lead by example and are an excellent team player.

  • Experience contributing to the learning & development of members on your team.
