Are you passionate about managing the repair, maintenance, and inspection of the MacGregor product range, as well as third-party cargo access and related equipment on board vessels? MacGregor is looking to hire an ambitious and proactive candidate to join our team.

This role is part of our Global Services Division. Reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent. This position is based in Zagreb, Croatia. 

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned and corrective maintenance and repairs, including onboard inspections of equipment, covering hydraulic, electrical, PLC, electronic, and mechanical systems
• Work on tasks that range from constructive damage repairs to software adjustments
• Provide information and write reports as required
• Manage and oversee the work of subcontractors
• Make decisions regarding commercial matters within prescribed limits for each project, as previously agreed with the Service Manager

What you’ll need to succeed

• Degree in Engineering or higher technical education
• Background in the maritime industry, with skills in electric/PLC, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, or relevant work experience
• Awareness of branch profitability
• Technical, organizational, and planning abilities
• Fluent in English language - both verbal and written
• Analytical, dynamic, customer-oriented, continuous drive for personal skill development
• Collaborate independently or in a team, ability to work irregular hours
• EU citizenship or relevant visas for EU travel, frequent travel within and beyond EU will be required
