Do you get motivated by ensuring timely delivery and resolution of challenges? MacGregor is looking to hire a proactive and results-oriented candidate to join our Navy Support team.
As a Representative, Navy Support, your day-to-day responsibility will be to handle customer inquiries, connect them with the right contacts, and support order book tasks for the team. In this role, it is a must that you are a strong communicator, and have the ability to build life time relationships with customers & suppliers. We believe you are interested and motivated to learn, gain and improve your knowledge of our customers and local US suppliers to deliver exceptional and adaptive service. It is beneficial, but not a must, if you have previous experience and knowledge within the navy industry.
This role is part of our Global Services Division (GSD). Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Navy Support. This position is on-site at our office in Hampton, Virginia.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- First point of contact for all customer requests, respond to customers promptly gathering the necessary input from colleagues to give the customer the information they need
- Managing & overseeing successful, prompt quote handling and customer deliveries
- Identifying risk orders
- Managing and overseeing successful, prompt orders on local US Suppliers
- Proactive communication to keep customers & suppliers informed
- Log claims, complaints and internal non-conformances
- Engage constantly with your Navy Support Team members to find information needed to support customers & improve your competence
- Escalate urgent cases and when not getting support needed to meet customers’ needs
Skills and experience that would help you succeed in your duties
- High school diploma required; Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field is preferred
- Previous experience from similar position and industry is beneficial
- Computer skills: MS Office, G-Suite and ERP system (SAP and SalesForce) knowledge is an asset
- Customer-focused, problem solver, and accountable
- Self-motivated, organized, and skilled in time management
- Highly effective and clear communicator with active listening skills
- Compliant with safety and controls standards
- English language - both verbal and written

Compensation data
Salary ranges from $45,000 - $55,000 per year based on skills and experience.
