Project Sales Manager

Purpose of the position

The Project Sales Manager is responsible for producing order specifications, tenders and bids for services delivered by the Project Team. This role shall ensure that all offers are produced in line with MacGregor commercial requirements with favorable payment terms.  Additionally this role shall be client facing, managing existing and new relationships with our clients whilst proactively growing the business.  During project execution the Project Sales Manager shall also support the Project Manager where required and where applicable be able to manage assigned projects to completion.

Main tasks and responsibilities

•    Produce service project order specifications, tendering documents and pricing
•    Negotiate final pricing and Terms and Conditioning (T&C’s)
•    Collaboration with the Regional Sales teams to manage open opportunities
•    Develop customer business and create financial growth
•    Promote MacGregor products and capabilities (upgrades, retrofit, life extension, modernization etc.)
•    Identify, evaluate and pursue new business opportunities
•    Collect market intelligence and work to ensure optimum industry footprint and customer contact
•    Provide support to Project Manager and Project Manager Technical throughout project lifecycle to ensure
•    Accept, execute and deliver projects as assigned by your line management
•    Maintain technical knowledge of products and solutions across the MacGregor product range
•    Contribute to the implementation of the Project team strategic plans
•    Contribute to process improvements

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:
•    Degree / HND / HNC in technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical/PLC or Hydraulic) or equivalent demonstrable experience

Experience:
•    Strong commercial background
•    Knowledge of Orgalime and or LOGIC
•    Strong experience in generating tenders, bids and proposals
•    Knowledge of Marine, Offshore or Merchant Shipping industries preferable
•    Understanding of relevant classification and regulatory requirements preferable
•    Knowledge of Salesforce preferable (or similar CRM)
•    Ability to influence and negotiate both internal and external parties
•    Understanding of contract terms and conditions
•    Understanding of Incoterms

Competencies:
•    Use of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive etc.)
•    Ability to travel locally and  internationally
