Area Controller

Purpose of the position
Activities related to finance and administration in the Americas Region of MacGregor GSD
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist Area Controller with;
- monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting
- forecasting, budget and annual closing
- common cost planning and cost center updates/support (GCP Tool).
- Financial analysis, accruals and provision calculations
- Communication, cooperation and support with CBS Finance teams including creation of any necessary
- Tickets (RTR, OTC, ITP)
- Review and sign off vendor forms and assist with queries where required
- Create any necessary Indirect procurement PO’s
- Preparation of and support with Balance Sheet Reconciliations & involvement in review meetings with Area Controller.
- Oversee order book accuracy working closely with Operational teams (values & billing dates)
- Liaise with customers, vendors and sister companies regarding any required tax documentation
- Lead monthly service project review meetings
- Monitor AR aging and attend team meetings to discuss and agree actions
- Point of contact for AX archive queries (legacy ERP system)
- Insurance renewal coordination and support (see task list link below)
- Perform other finance and admin tasks as and when required to support Area Controller.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education
- Bachelor degree in accounting/administration, or equivalent
Knowledge/Experience
- 3+ years of experience from similar role(s) or other relevant finance roles
- Good spoken and written English
- Knowledge of finance tools SAP and HFM, and Google tools.
Competencies & Skills
- Good computer skills.
- Experience in preparation of financial statements
- Willingness to improve current ways of working, tools, methods and processes.
- Structured and responsible. Doesn’t see any problems with giving an extra hand wherever it’s needed.
- Ability to work independently, while demonstrating flexibilit
- Good understanding of priorities, and 100% respect for deadlines
