Account Specialist - Spare Parts

Salary: $50-60k/year

Purpose of the position

 

  • Based in the Fort Lauderdale area, this role requires a service minded and results driven individual. 
  • Daily customer contact to follow-up spare parts quotations and thereby increase quotation/order hit rates. 
  • Business segments include CRUISE, MERCHANT and OFFSHORE. 
  • Fully supported by Account Managers and Customer Experience personnel

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Follow up business leads from our spare part quotations to meet our targets and increase the hit rates together with our Account Managers.
  • Become our customer’s main point of contact for spare parts quotes and build positive customer relationships that will generate future sales and customer satisfaction for our services.
  • Our customers operate their assets globally which gives this job another positive but challenging dimension in the dialogue
  • Frequent use of telephone, google meetings & email is expected and the preferred way of working.
  • Occasional physical customer meetings, but business travel is not a requirement for this position.
  • Collect and update relevant market and customer information in our CRM system.
  • Be involved as a central part in the sales team developing and implementing sales tactics, budgets, and action plans to meet or exceed company KPIs (along with Account Managers and Regional Account Manager)
  • Close cooperation with our internal organizations who are creating the spare part quotes and the Service teams for common leads, therefore being a team player will be crucial for success.
  • Accept, execute and deliver other projects as assigned by management for the benefit of the company  

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine, or business or other relevant technical/engineering education will be considered

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the shipping, cruise, merchant, offshore, or related business

Competencies:

  • Fluent English written and oral
  • SALESFORCE ( or similar CRM)
  • GOOGLE suite (or similar),
  • Work independently
  • Team player
