Trainer

Purpose of the position

Responsible for product line related training for internal and external customers globally for product range of winches.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop training courses and course materials for products in different technical levels
  • Perform training to internal and external customers globally (classroom, online, on equipment)
  • Develop and implement digitalized training and tools (VR, AR, e-learning, etc.).
  • Keep track of product-trained personnel and relevant personal certificates in the system
  • Develop and implement training programs / processes
  • Register and keep update relevant KPIs report
  • Prepare offers and order confirmation for customer-related courses


 

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine or business

Experience

  • Minimum five years in marine industry or relevant business/product experience
  • Technical background or knowledge of MacGregor products is preferred
  • Experience in a technical / commercial role in a service environment is preferred
  • Experience in field service jobs is an advantage

Competencies

  • Good technical skills and product knowledge
  • Understanding of technical and operational use of the marine & offshore equipment
  • Knowledge of classification societies requirements, service process and documentation standards
  • Pedagogical skills and ability to transfer know-how / experience (technical writing / presentation)
  • Ability to prepare and develop training courses and materials
  • Ability in coordination and completion of courses, including experience in instructing
  • Ability to work in an international business environment and in a matrix organization
  • Commands respect and credibility, stemming from both experience and personality
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment as well as part of a team
  • Very good analytical skills and high attention on details
  • Customer-focused and result-driven team player
  • Internal customer support and problem solving attitude
  • Ability to interact and communicate well with people at all levels
  • Strong IT skills (office software)
  • Good English skills, both written and spoken
