Technical Support, Hatch Covers

Purpose of the position

Responsible for the technical documentation, technical service and support.

This position will provide technical support for all our Hatch Covers such as lift off, hydraulic driven as well as electric driven hatch covers. Support is given directly to our branch offices, spares sales as well as directly to our end users. A big part of the job is to collect information about the problem and then with the help of supporting documents provide online help. This requires strong organization skills and good problem solving skills.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Support our service organisation and customers with:

  • Technical service
  • Special technical surveys
  • Technical information
  • Technical advice

Spares support

  • Support GPSC spares sales in identifying and recommending spares

Technical information support

  • Support technical info. In creating technical instructions

New sales support

  • Support NS design department with old references designs and general view

Development of methods:

  • For measuring
  • For inspections
  • For repair

Health and safety responsibilities

  • Responsible for securing own and co-workers’ safety and health with all possible means.

We expect from you


  • Commercial or technical background. Bachelor degree


  • At least 3 years of relevant business/product experience


  • Good technical knowledge in hydraulic and mechanical
  • Good product knowledge of hatch covers or similar
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in automation and electric systems
  • knowhow in PLC programming.
