Senior Manager, Sales & Tendering

Purpose of the position

  • Responsible for order received budget, managing sales and tendering capacity to grow the market share, and building deep customer & market understanding to enable the most efficient, innovative and profitable offering to the markets . Overall responsibility to determine and deliver the order received budget (top line & gross margin), cash flow and growing market share for the business line (BL) in accordance with the business strategy.
  • Active participation in market research, contribute to development of new solutions, promotion and sales of existing solutions worldwide.

Key tasks:

  • Responsible for the leadership and management of the sales & tendering capacity and quality in BL to deliver on time pre-sales support, contracts negotiation and closing the orders in accordance to the Integrated Management System (IMS), Project Execution Model (PEM) and company Authorisation Policy.
  • Leadership and management of the sales & tendering to manage and maintain the sales information in the customer relationship management tool Salesforce and supporting the head of BL and business controller to forecast the business.
  • Maintain and develop the needed sales and tendering competences and capacities in the BL
  • Build in depth understanding on customer business process and market, identify and initiate the product and solution development needs to strategic marketing, business development and technology development team to enable new product and solution offering
  • Support and collaborate with Global Services Division (GSD) to lift customers' lifecycle experience according to Newbuild-Aftersales cooperation procedures (including adjustment and development of such where needed)
  • Active promotion of MacGregor brand internally and externally
  • Together with the team, be responsible for conducting research of the competition environment including market price level.
  • Any other special roles assigned by the line manager

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education

  • B Sc. Or M Sc. In relevant field (Engineering, Economics, Business or Business admin.)

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ proven track record in sales management positions internationally
  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience in the marine/ offshore industry or capital equipment sales
  • Experience with project sales/ project management on capital equipment
  • Experience working with the multinational team members
  • Good understanding of legal challenges incl. risk management
  • Ability to prospect sales
