Manager, Sales & Marketing

Purpose of the position

Key player responsible for sales & marketing related activities within MacGREGOR and affiliated companies.

  • Leader responsible for concerned function (information meetings for personnel, PDP, training and resources etc).
  • Member of management group of Sales in MacGREGOR.
  • Drive and compliance to the Integrated Management System for Sales Department.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with the Code of Conduct, Integrated Management System (IMs), The local QHSE System and QHSE rules and requirement

Key tasks:

• Quotation and Orders:
- Make risk analysis and optimize the advance payment.
- Responsible for volume and margin at sales of MacGREGOR products.
- Responsible for offering, follow-up of offers, negotiations and closing of projects.
- Close best possible deal within framework of sales budget in relation to margins & payment terms.
- Responsible for input of relevant order information and status reporting to the business system.

• Sales
- Develop knowledge of market and competitors such as, but not limited to, market shares.
- Establishment of sales and marketing plans.

• Customer relations
- Establish and maintain good customer relations, as well as adequate follow up and feedback.
- Responsible for PR activities like campaigns, directed seminars, etc.

• Communication between different departments
- Within sales process, collect all needed data, make cost estimation based on information from technical support, arrange quote hearings and call for kick-off meetings.
- Maintain contact with other functions as well as co-ordination of inter divisional activities regarding commercial matters.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Knowledge/Experience
- Minimum 5 years experiences in Offshore operations.
- Knowledge of winches- types, designs, functions, application (in-depth).
- Knowledge of CAD software- AutoCAD
- Basic Knowledge of FEA software- ANSYS.
- Basic Knowledge of PLC.
- Basic Knowledge of Hydraulic system
