Purpose of the position

 

Lead and direct the Global Service Centre, Middle East and Asia Region, according to corporate objectives, strategy and business needs and best market practice. Responsibility for overseeing activities related to the flow of spare parts process.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Together with team leaders: Lead the activities of the operational unit in order to achieve its short and long-term strategic financial and operating objectives as set by the overall business plan. This is done within the principles of work safety, environmental protection, regulations, values, policies and the Cargotec Code of Ethics.
  • Identify KPIs and monitor the performance of the unit against standards and targets in areas such as spare part processes, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, and human resource management
  • Close cooperation with the 2 existing Global Service Centers (EUR and ANS) to ensure a common way of working and reporting
  • Plan and implement continuous efficiency improvements
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at management level to develop and implement business strategies that are aligned with the business objectives, and translate these into annual plans
  • Oversee and manage all the organization's activities within the Singapore Service Centre in accordance with OPM, as well as making sure the GSC part of the OPM is updated at all times
  • Change management in an international and cross continental environment
  • Participate in relevant management meetings 
  • Develop knowledge of market and competitors 
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations, as well as adequate follow up and feedback
  • Prepare the department's annual budget and supervising its implementation
  • Networking externally with the other services centers and the market in the area
  • Coaching and developing the team.
  • Empowering the team leads to make decisions, to grow to the next level

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education

 

  • Relevant university degree (MSc / BSc) or equivalent

 

Experience

 

  • Experience in managing in international environment in a B2B environment
  • Experience with working in / leading a global shared service center organization is an advantage  
  • Minimum three years’ management experience
