Sourcing Manager

Purpose of the position

Responsible for some certain Specific Component Category and act as Sourcing Project Manager role for product transfer projects within DHS Sourcing & Supply Chain. Support Sales bidding and Operation.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

●    Give budget cost and lead time input to DHS Sales, identify and negotiate on saving potentials, update/maintain Sales Budget price list within the given component/product categories.
●    To be the SCM representative to product transfer projects: work out sourcing time schedule, pull in resources, analyse data/BOM, update status/progress timely via HK Action Meetings.
●    Be responsible to solve delivery, quality or service related problems escalated by DHS Purchasing, within the given component/product categories.
●    Collaborate with Global Category Sourcing and OSD/DHS Purchasing to drive spend consolidation, resource leveraging, and supplier risk mitigation.
●    Cooperate with OSD/DHS Purchasing, Engineering, QC to continuously improve quality, lead time and cost.
●    Develop and implement OSD & DHS action plans and achieve cost saving targets. 
●    Develop purchase agreements including fabrication contract for designated categories
●    Conduct supplier audit/qualification/selection/evaluation/business reviews according to MacGregor rules.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education: 

●    Commercial or Technical background, B.Sc. or equivalent experience

Experience:

●    10+ years of in International Sourcing and Supply Management
●    Experience in working with global and cross-cultural teams
●    Hands-on experience on Product Transfer
●    Hands-on experience on bonded I/E business model
●    Relevant industry experience preferred

Competencies:

●    Fluent in English, both spoken and written
●    Proactive, strategic thinking, quick learner, good at communication, team player.
●    Solution oriented with interdisciplinary understanding of business processes /value drivers 
●    Good negotiation (Supplier) and influencing (Internal/external) skills
●    SAP
●    Strong knowledge of MacGregor products and related supplier base preferred 
●    Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships while remaining focused on the key deliverables
