Are you driven by problem solving? Do you thrive working with complex and large equipment? Looking no further, MacGregor is looking to hire a Project Site Coordinator with experience in the shipbuilding industry.
The purpose of this role is to provide on-site coordination at the shipyard for technical, quality, logistic, and commissioning issues during project execution, including feedback and follow-up to the project execution team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating technical solutions with the Contract manager, engineering team, and shipyard. In addition, you will manage quality by inspecting deliveries, reporting defects, and following up on replacements.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Verify the receipt of delivered goods on-site, provide feedback regarding any missing or incorrect deliveries, and ensure the implementation of corrective actions
- Monitor shipyard production and coordinate commissioning with the Contract Manager and Team leader
- Perform other assigned tasks
Reporting directly to the Director, CM & Commissioning. This position is based in the shipyard in Guangzhou, China.
What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge and understanding of project management are essential in this position. We are looking for a person who has previous experience in the shipbuilding industry who possesses good communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You have the ability to work independently and also thrive in a team environment, successfully completing assigned tasks, even under pressure and while meeting deadlines.
Ideally you have
- Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or higher technical education
- Previous experience with RoRo projects, service, commissioning and quality control in shipyard or supplier is preferred
- Fluent in English language - both verbal and written
