Assistant Business Controller

Purpose of the position
Partner with business team for operations excellence, to provide hands-on supports to various business needs and risks management, and drive process improvement.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Collaborate with JV stakeholders on behalf of McG, to play controlling activities for value creation initiatives
- Collect and interpret reporting prepared by JV, to identify necessary actions, and prepare performance communication with the management
- Organize monthly forecasting, analyze variation and initiate improvement actions.
- Proactively involve in the execution of projects/service, coordinate concerned parties to push the project progress in a good manner, eg. Early involvement in contract review, periodical contract execution follow up, monthly project reporting, and coordinating relevant people to figure out a workable plan… etc. Keep good tracking of all running projects or order
- Monitor direct engineer time reporting, and track the cross company booking
- Work as the bridge between business and CBS team, interpreting and transforming the finance knowledge into language meaningful for business team
- Work as the business finance role and Key user role to coordinate or provide necessary support, eg. SAP, IT, IM, IPS, etc.
- Assist in both internal and external audit
- Ad hoc support needed by business team or other tasks assigned by managers
What you’ll need to succeed
Education
- Bachelor degree in Finance
Experience
- 10+ years of work experience, and 5+ years from similar position in multinational companies
- JV experience
- Experience in heavy industry company
Competencies
- High integrity
- Good English skills
- Proficiency in SAP/computer system tool skills and good application in work flow
- Capable of working independently and take proactive actions.
- Good communication to coordinate the financial activities of a metric organization
