Sales and Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to join MacGregor's Offshore Solutions Division. The purpose of the position is to actively participate in market research, develop new solutions, promote and sale existing solutions for Offshore Wind Market in Benelux. This position is located in Rotterdam, Netherlands but other locations within the Netherlands may be considered and you will report to Director Sales and Marketing Innovations located in Norway.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Fulfilment of individual yearly sales targets that contribute to the overall BU budget
  • Ensuring sales closing with the highest possible margin
  • Active promotion of MacGregor brand internally and externally
  • Conducting research of the competition environment including market price level in Benelux 
  • Sustain and develop strong long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Tender manager for tender teams and ensure high standard during all phases of a tender
  • Identify leads and develop sales action plan in Benelux
  • Perform market-related activities such as leading organization process and participation exhibitions in exhibitions/conferences in Benelux
  • Risk Management of tenders and contracts
  • Ensure sales process are performed according to MacGregor’s execution model
  • Negotiate and closing sales, including contract terms
  • Travel activity to existing and potential clients in Benelux, occasionally at other locations globally
  • Liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally.

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

Education: 

  • BS/MS degree in business administration, marketing, or engineering (Relevant experience can compensate for formal education)

 

Experience:

  • At least five years of successful previous experience in sales with a record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • In depth knowledge of Offshore Wind market and available network within the offshore wind market in Benelux
  • Knowledge and experience in participating at key industry events, seminars and exhibitions

 

Competencies:

  • Proactive within the internal and external environment
  • Flexible to changes 
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, oral and written
  • Good understanding of the market and it’s trends
  • Strong commercial drive 
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking and analytical
  • Multicultural working experience and understanding of global cultural differences
  • Motivated and self-driven achiever comfortable to work autonomously and as a part of a team
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process
  • Outstanding communications skills and ability to convince at all levels
  • Cooperative
  • Creating and implementing sales plans
  • Experience in developing budgets and analysing data.
