Technical Support-Cranes

Purpose of the position

MacGregor USA Inc., the leading global supplier of cargo and load handling solutions equipment and services is seeking a Technical Product Support- Cranes, responsible for technical service and support.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities

Support our service organisation and customers with:

  • Technical information
  • Technical advice
  • Special technical surveys

Technical information support:

  • Support technical information in creating technical instructions
  • Arrange technical information from our suppliers when needed

New sales support:

  • Support new sales design department with knowledge regarding service availability

Development of methods:

  • For measuring
  • For inspections
  • For repair

Health and safety responsibilities:

  • Responsible for securing own and co-workers’ safety and health with all possible means

We expect from you


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is preferred


  • 3+ years of hands on experience with heavy equipment, preferably cranes
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanics, hydraulics, rigging and lift plans
  • Ability to read and fully interpret blueprints and schematics including but not limited to: structural, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic
  • Proactive mindset to troubleshoot, diagnose and drive repair process for malfunctioning equipment
  • Good communication skills and teamwork
  • Good problem solving skills

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic team player to join our world wide support team. The position will play an important part in our aftersales support and to our internal and external customers. This position will provide technical support for all of our crane types such as hydraulic driven as well as electric driven cranes. Support is given directly to our branch offices, spares sales as well as directly to our end users. A big part of the job is to collect information about the problem and then with the help of supporting documents provide online help.
