Branch Manager

Location: Navi Mumbai, INDIA
 

Description of the role:

  • To develop, oversee and manage all branch activities including sales, service, spares and new sales.
  • Optimize all activities to support global field services budget.
  • Continuously monitor and develop branch efficiency, productivity, quality focus, and personnel performance as well as fixed costs.
  • To be able to fulfil internal and external customer and business requirements at all times.
  • To improve and maintain the motivation and skills of the employees and develop teamwork spirit within the branch.
  • Actively research and drive business opportunities within scope of strategy.

 

Key tasks:

  1. Business development in the Branch, including strategic business planning and budgeting in accordance with the guidelines set by Global Field Services
  • Overall business development in the Branch
  • Branch business plans, segmentation and action plans to support global strategies
  • Creating local business plan and implementing the corresponding action plan
  • Target setting for direct reports
  • Organising the Branch operations according to the Operating Principles manual

 

  1. Profit and loss responsibility for the Branch
  • Optimising service offering in the Branch
  • Engineer utilisation
  • Local inventory management efficiency
  • Pricing within given guidelines
  • Optimises local administration routines
  • Cooperation with other Branches to optimise resources used
  • Cooperation with Product Divisions through After Sales departments
  • Operative day-to-day management of the Branch staff including Account Managers, service team members and the spares teams
  • Present financial reporting of the branch as needed

 

  1. Skills management
  • Annual training plans for every employee
  • Direct responsibility for the branch personnel

 

  1. Account sales
  • Operationally supporting local sales activities in cooperation with Regional Account Manager
  • Planning and budgeting
  • Execution in cooperation with Regional Account Manager
  • Marketing and Sales plans and implementation for Branch key customers  (in addition to VIP customers) in cooperation with Regional Account Manager

 

  1. Statutory responsibilities                                                                                    
  • Conducts the business of the branch in accordance with India Labour Law, trading practice and corporate principles (Cargotec Code Of Conduct)
  • Takes full responsibility for all legal and statutory obligations in India for both the company and employees
  • Informs the Group about all legal risks

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering/business studies
  • Minimum of five (05) years related management experience
  • Strong Leadership, managerial  and interpersonal skills 
  • Business development and marketing skills to secure new clients and maintain existing client relationships  
  •  Able to drive team performance to best in class ; Able to create and build highly effective sales teams within the organization; 
  • Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to maintain effectiveness during change 

 

Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS);

  • Responsibility for conforming to the Cargotec Code of Conduct,  QEHS Policies of MacGregor as well as requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001

 

Further information

* Chosen candidate will be based in our office in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, India. He/she will be expected to travel within India for business purposes.

* Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience in the Maritime industry.
