Technical Support Engineer Automation & Control Systems

We’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer Automation & Control Systems who will be responsible for handling all internal and external technical requests for AHC/Motion compensated offshore products. This position will have a special and close connection to the region customer’s, sales, operations, and service projects team to enhance our offering capability and support.

This position will be based in Kristiansand, Norway.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Provide technical support for customers and Offshore Service personnel

• Troubleshooting remotely
• PLC and HMI Programming for upgrade projects
• Creating technical instructions
• Participate in quotation work for service project
• Create/Maintain subparts list to ease the finding of correct spare part
• Support making training documents and if required participate or perform training
• Follow and ensure the following of the Quality System rules
• Update ERP, drawings, document systems etc. according to our standards
• Report on all problems identified and record all corrective actions
• Support spare sales

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in the fields of science
• Alternatively comparable or equal degrees or equivalent due to experience
• 10 year track record from relevant service business as well as relevant products
• Field experience, Testing, commissioning,service work related to control system
• Experience with Simatic S7, TIA portal,Aveva InTouch, E3, Autocad 
• Drive for the continuous improvement of the current processes and ways of working in the organisation
• Commercial & negotiation experience and interest
• Suitable technical knowledge on products to enable best practice towards the customer
• Excellent social and communication skills
• Fluent in English
