Control System - Fullstack Javascript developer

Are you a professional fullstack developer that likes creative challenges? Do you feel you have an understanding on how data is best presented to the user?


MacGregor's division for Control System development is looking for a full stack JavaScript/HTML developer for our locations in Bergen.


As a developer in our control systems department you will be creating the next generation of human machine interfaces of our control systems. Including state of the art realtime augmented reality and custom UI controls creation.


Main tasks and responsibilities:


  • Design UI/UX towards end-users
  • Support existing as well as create new ways of presenting data to the operator
  • Implementation and maintenance of MacGregor HMI systems.
  • Work with handheld touch screen operator devices, and backend towards the control unit.


What you’ll need to succeed:


  • University degree (MSc / BSc), engineering, or equivalent *
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with JS and full stack development *
  • Knowledge of NPM, Canvas and JS frameworks and tools, i.e. Three.js, Electron, Angular, React
  • Understanding principles of PLC programming and logic control is a preference
  • Knowledge of other programming languages is an advantage (C,C++C#, ,Python)
  • Experience in designing JS visualizations through Canvas 
  • Experience in creation of web dashboards would be an advantage
  • Ability to plan and manage workload effectively
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of the team
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • **Excellence in the field of javascript and full stack development can be used in preference to formal education and most other principles
