MacGregor Global Services Division is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who will support the stakeholders in various hatch cover related topics, main focus being on supporting the spare parts sales process.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing OEM-level technical support to our global service organization, as well as to other internal and external stakeholders worldwide. Your goal will be to ensure efficient resolution and high customer satisfaction. You will thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment where empowerment and a commitment to delivering the best customer experience are paramount.
The location of the position is Kaarina, Finland and reports to Technical Manager, Spare Part Center, CSS. Other MacGregor GSD locations can be considered as well.
Key responsibilities
- Identify relevant spare parts and necessary documentation according to customer needs
- Carry out technical and commercial assessments of technical support inquiries and service reports
- Support in sales activities on new and non-core products and participate in customer and supplier meetings when needed
- Support other teams with accurate information to maintain master data, documentation and relevant systems
- Provide assistance, instructions and service bulletins for all relevant stakeholders when needed

What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor degree, Technical background
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, understanding of hatch cover systems is an advantage
- Interpersonal and communicational skills
- English language - both verbal and written, including technical vocabulary
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering, hydraulic/electric control systems, design tools, and willingness to develop oneself further in these areas
- Service mindset with commercial understanding
- Ability to work independently and to stay focused in hectic intercultural working environment
