We are looking for a Lifecycle Assessment Specialist who has a passion for environmental sustainability and scientific approach. The ideal candidate is an early-career professional who will be expected to develop knowledge and standards for climate assessments and perform life cycle analysis (LCA) for MacGregor's Equipment and Solutions Division products and services.



The primary location of the position is Kaarina, Finland but other locations can also be considered.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Interpret and gain corporate knowledge of relevant sustainability standards and regulation (e.g. GHG, ISO, EU Taxonomy etc) and support EU Taxonomy alignments of the products
  • Perform LCAs including coordination and support specific LCA-initiatives and inventory analysis
  • Together with the Divisional Sustainability Coordinator to liaise with the business operations to define MacGregor framework regarding use of LCAs
  • Develop training material and ensure access to support systems
  • Build emission models and become a super user
  • Analysis of product use phase data and use of relevant sourcing data collaborating with other data analysts
  • Contribute to building knowledge around eco product/solutions development, energy systems, energy efficiency and circular business models
  • Interpret results, create and share reports on 3rd party assessments and supplier LCAs
  • Identify and implement relevant processes, methods and tools throughout MacGregor ́s global operation that support the overall sustainability targets.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

 

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Energy, Environmental or Sustainability engineering or similar
  • Former education in LCA and GHG is preferred (e.g. relevant thesis work)
  • Practical experience required from LCAs including management of emission factors, LCA softwares (e.g. GaBi) and common tools like Google sheet etc.
  • Understanding of climate risk assessments
  • Well acquainted with relevant regulations, methods and standards
  • Skilled in data management and analysis and visualisation of the results
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Curious and creative
  • Self-organised, self-motivated and high problem-solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to work in a global matrix organisation.
