Cargo Stowage Solutions, part of MacGregor’s Merchant Ship Division, is the leading provider of cargo stowage-related solutions and services to shipowners and shipbuilders. We are looking for a Director, Contract Management and Commissioning to join our team and lead the global function. You will be part of the business line management team. The preferred location is Kaarina, Finland and the position is permanent.

 
Main tasks and responsibilities: 

 

  •  Overall responsibility for the contract fulfillment team and process i.e. delivering the projects on time and at agreed quality and cost, including variation orders
  • Manage warranty claim handling and other non-conformities
  • Driving customer satisfaction in the contract fulfillment stage
  • Ensuring ethics & compliance and project execution model guidelines are being followed
  • Lead and develop the global contract management function. You will be having a small team reporting directly to you and the rest in the matrix
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing, finance, engineering, sourcing & supply chain, QEHS and research & development teams
  • Participate in agreed Merchant Ship Division or MacGregor level initiatives.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

  • Technical or commercial B.Sc./M.Sc.
  • 5+ years of relevant project management and managerial experience
  • Knowledge on SAP, Google and MS Office
  • Solid leadership, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Willingness to work in a global environment and matrix organisation
  • Advanced English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel globally, as required
  • Prior knowledge about the products and marine business is beneficial.
