We are looking for a


Service Engineer

 

for Global Field Services (GFS) for Hamburg Germany.  This position will be reporting to the Service Manager, Hamburg.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

The key responsibilities for this position include refurbishment, upgrades, preventative maintenance and repairs to MacGregor and equivalent 3rd party equipment. You will be developing customer relationships and maintaining contact with key decision makers of vessel owners/operators, shipyards and engineering design/consulting companies. The role is expected to perform onboard inspections of equipment and communicate information regarding service needs and opportunities to customer. 

We expect from you

 

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Engineering and have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the marine and/or offshore industry.  You must have good customer service skills including possessing a solid reputation for follow up and handling customer requests and complaints.  Good working knowledge of PLC programming is an advantage. You should also be able to communicate effectively in English and German, be customer oriented, analytical, and be able to work independently as well as in a cross functional team.  This position will require extensive travel.
