MacGregor is a leading provider of integrated cargo and load handling solutions for the maritime industry. Our equipment is installed on more than half of vessels worldwide, enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability for shipowners and operators. We pride ourselves on delivering world-class support to ensure the optimal performance of our equipment and are seeking a Compliance Officer who shares our commitment to exceptional service.

This is a global role reporting directly to the Head of Compliance. 

Preferred location is Hamburg, Germany but we are also open for candidates from Sofia, Bulgaria or Kaarina, Finland.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance compliance programs across MacGregor
• Develop and update compliance policies, processes, and routines
• Conduct compliance-related activities, including training, workshops, risk assessments, and investigations
• Prepare reports, KPIs, and communication material related to compliance
• Review and assess third-party risk analyses, providing recommendations and conclusions
• Support compliance activities related to sustainability regulation frameworks

What you’ll need to succeed

• Relevant academic degree in Business, Law, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in ethics compliance, legal, risk management, or related areas
• Understanding of international business ethics legislation and standards (e.g. anti-bribery and corruption, data protection, competition law, business law, etc.)
• Professional certification in compliance (e.g., CEEP, CEF) and experience in an industrial or marine environment are an assets
• Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and an interest in contributing to a sustainable business environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• English language - both verbal and written
