MacGregor is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Technical Trainer!

 

Take the lead in delivering captivating product line training to our global internal and external customers. You'll also be responsible for empowering our service network, customers, and partner network with top-notch technical support and product training. The preferred location of this position is Sweden, Poland or any MacGregor GSD (Global Services Division) location in Europe.
 

 

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Design and develop training courses and materials for the responsible product(s) by different technical levels
  • Plan and conduct training to internal and external customers globally (classroom, online, on equipment)
  • Assist/Develop and implement modern and advanced training tools for training be more effective
  • Review and constantly improve training content, materials and methods
  • Execute certification processes of service personnel according to OPM
  • Register and maintain technical competence data of service engineers properly and correctly in the system
  • Develop and train local frontline trainers related to responsible product line, as needed.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education

  • Academic degree in the fields of engineering on Bachelor level or equivalent.

 

Experience

  • Minimum five years in shipbuilding or marine industry or relevant business/product experience
  • Technical background or knowledge of responsible MacGregor products
  • Experience in a technical / commercial role in service environment is preferred
  • Experience in field service jobs is an advantage.

 

Competencies

  • Good technical skills and product knowledge of the responsible product line
  • Understanding of technical and operational use of the marine & offshore equipment
  • Knowledge of classification societies requirements, service process and documentation standards
  • Pedagogical skills and ability to transfer know-how/experience (technical writing/presentation) will be an asset
  • Proficient in creating and refining training courses and materials, skilled in planning, coordinating, and conducting courses, with proven experience in instruction.
