We’re looking for a Purchaser who will be responsible for all purchase matters (P/O, budget, planning, deliveries).

The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden and will report to our Manager, Purchasing.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Make purchase decisions following  MacGregor Purchase Policy
• Prepare purchase planning and liaise with CM regarding input to the overall contract program
• Responsible for all contract related purchase deliveries 
• Approve/check invoices according to Company policy/rules 
• Responsible for material costs in each contract and providing accurate input to CMs Project Control Sheet
• Monitor the status of subcontractors including financial status and report to Production Control if considered necessary
• Resolving vendor nonconformities including financial settlement and input to CM to resolve customer claims.
• Monitor supplier and S&SC performance during the contract and provide analysis during closeout meetings
• Responsibility for distributing drawings and obtaining “as built” drawings and class documentation from subcontractors
• Coordinate FATs and inspections with the Production Control Department.
   

What you’ll need to succeed

• Second-degree education
• 2 years of experience working in projects and/or purchaser experience
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Able to adapt to new techniques and keen to increase knowledge
• Strong customer focus
• Comfortable working in an international environment and in virtual teams
• Ability to travel
• Good supplier negotiation skills.
