Are you passionate about taking overall responsibility of a contract from the start-up meeting to the expiry of guarantee? MacGregor is looking to hire an ambitious and results-oriented candidate to join our team. 

MacGregor is a leading provider of integrated cargo and load handling solutions for the maritime industry. Our equipment is installed on more than half of vessels worldwide, enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability for shipowners and operators. We pride ourselves on delivering world-class support to ensure the optimal performance of our equipment and are seeking a Contract Manager who shares our commitment to exceptional service.

This role is part of our Equipment and Solutions Division. Reporting directly to the Director, Contract Management, Installation & Commissioning, Cargo Access Solutions. This position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Ensure all contract objectives are met, with execution on time and within budget, while overseeing the Contract Group (Design, Purchasing, Production Control, Installation) and ensuring all members follow the specified concept and requirements
• Serve as the primary contact with the customer, monitor contract progress, and track financial performance, including regular reporting on status, risks, opportunities (PCS), nonconformities, and resolution
• Ensure all key meetings (Validation, Contract Follow-up, Design Reviews, and Close-Out) are held, documented, and used for feedback
• Regularly update the contract program to meet milestones and manage commercial aspects, ensuring invoices are issued and payments received

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in engineering or another technical education
• Several years of experience with international project management activities
• Competencies within the areas of reporting, contracts and planning
• Project management and gross margin securing skills
• Interpersonal, communication, leadership and team management skills
• English language - both verbal and written
