ILS Engineer

MacGregor is looking for an ILS Engineer. Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) is an iterative method used when engineering new systems with the objective to reduce product life cycle cost through a cost-effective maintenance approach.

In this role, you will participate in engineering and maintenance definition processes to generate ILS data for customers in the international naval defense sector.

This is a hybrid position (a combination of home office and onsite work) and you will be required to travel to the site in Gothenburg regularly. You will report to the Director, Contract Management, Installation & Commissioning, Cargo Access Solutions.
 

Main tasks and responsibilities

• To have the overall responsibility of the Integrated Logistic Support in contracts
• Have the responsibility for ILS issues in all contracts containing ILS working closely together with Contract Managers
• Assist purchasing department with defining purchasing requirements for ILS issues in the purchasing process
• Ensure that all team members in a contract follow the ordered concept, time schedule and specification concerning ILS
• Reporting of progress of ILS related issues to Contract Manager
• Regular updating of the contract program to ensure milestones are adhered to together with Contract Manager
• Act as Contract Manager.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

• Technical upper secondary school education or similar.

Experience:

• Several years of documented experience from international contract work
• Experience from the Marine industry is desirable.

Competencies:

• ILS knowledge is a MUST, preferably from MIL-STD 1388, DEFSTAN 00-600 or similar

• Ability to transfer knowledge
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
