Installation Manager

Purpose of the position

The Installation Manager will be responsible for managing a service business unit and support sales to fulfill customer and business requirements.

Key tasks:

● Drive installation activities where MacGregor install own equipment or supply installation
assistance and commissioning to customers, in cooperation with Installation Manager GOT.
● Organize set-up of installation/commissioning engineers and installation teams.
● Find the correct partners for individual installations and for long term partnership.
● Plan and execute installation work incl. required agreements with customers and site managers
for equipment handover etc.
● Responsible for staff’s EHS requirements.
● Make cost calculation budget figures, enabling GOT Installation Manager to provide Sales with
budget prices.
● Confirm installation cost calculation for hot projects.
● Arrange necessary work permits for installation teams.
● Report to GOT Installation Manager.
● Administrate practical matters for the installation engineers, e.g. arrangement of tool containers,
travel arrangements etc.
● Highlight problem areas and submit product improvement proposals with focus to prevent
repetition.
● Plan training of installation engineers.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education: 

  • Technical upper secondary school, or similar

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience with installing CAS products

Competencies:

  • very good command of English
  • Installation of CAS products

  • CAS products

  • Ship building technologies

  • Commissioning/approval procedures

  • Health and safety issues

  • Planning

  • Project management

  • Contract legislation

  • Communication

  • Leadership and team management

  • Ability to transfer knowledge
