Senior Mechanical Designer

Purpose of the position

Senior Mechanical Designer

preferably with experience in the offshore and marine industry to strengthen our team in Gdansk
 

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and modifying equipment from existing product portfolios and developing new concepts, solutions, and standardization of products;

• Responsibility for design planning and updating Design Responsible or Design Leader;

• Perform calculations as agreed with the strength analyst;

• Ensure all necessary calculations are carried out and archived;

• Attending design review meetings;

• Be proactive and take a lead role in projects;

• Provide necessary documentation;

• Participate in both tender/concept and project phases;

• Work closely with the other engineering disciplines;

What you’ll need to succeed

• M. Sc./B.Sc. in a relevant field of Engineering;

• 5-10 years of relevant experience;

• Experience with Class rules;

• Relevant software experience Autodesk Inventor & Vault;

• Inter discipline understanding;

• Strong interpersonal and team-working skills;

• Ability to plan and manage workload effectively;

• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
