Purpose of the position

 

MacGregor Offshore Solution Division Norway is constantly growing and developing its organizational structure. We are currently looking for candidates interested in the position of Purchaser located in Poland / Gdańsk in the OSD Team. The main goal with this role is to support the Purchasing Team in daily activities related to the project execution model. You will be mainly responsible for handling logistic issues related to purchasing processes like outbound deliveries and transportation issues.

You will be also supporting the Purchasing Team in other purchasing activities on a daily basis.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Key tasks:

 

Supporting the Purchase Department in goods movement activities in SAP, related to the project, such as creating outbound deliveries, preparing transport documentation and coordination of shipments with the Transport Department.

 


Other tasks:

 

  • Coordination within Supply Chain functions to ensure we reach project budget and delivery time.
  • Ensure supplier data and prices are correct and up to date in the ERP-system.
  • Ensure the project forecast costs for purchasing are up to date in the ERP system before month-end.
  • Handle purchase requisitions, place POs, and follow up delivery.
  • Follow-up orders with respect to order confirmation, delivery time, cost control and receipt of documentation.
  • Support commercial communication between the project and the suppliers.
  • Support Project Responsible Purchaser with the Free Issued Items (FII), ensure that deliveries are on time at the production site, according to the project plan.
  • Responsible for identifying and executing cost saving actions.
  • Register, follow up and close supplier Claims.
  • Meeting own KPI’s and contributing to department KPI’s.
  • Report status as required for major changes in cost and delivery times to Manager, Purchasing.
  • Other duties as assigned by your Leader.

 

Requirements:

 

  • around 2 years of working experience on similar position within Purchasing and Logistics activities
  • preferably a university degree
  • problem solving and working close to deadlines
  • excellent communication and analytical skills
  • fluent command in English, written and spoken
  • experience using SAP will be an asset
  • technical knowledge and product understanding would be an asset
