MacGregor's Global Service Division is looking for a Sourcing Manager to support MacGregor’s and GSD’s strategic and financial targets by managing and reporting Sourcing spend and KPI’s in assigned Product Lines by establishing GSD Sourcing Strategies in related products and working on Sourcing initiatives and activities associated and required by GSD. You will work closely with Category Sourcing and GSD sourcing to ensure product delivery and quality.

 

The position can be based in Hamburg, Gdansk, Gothenburg, Piraeus and other GSD locations in Europe may be considered as well.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Closely linked to GSD business needs, establish and provide Sourcing Strategies to Category Sourcing teams

  • Cooperate with Category Sourcing to develop suppliers that are essential for the products

  • Responsible for GSD suppliers, which are not covered by Category Sourcing, incl. terms and conditions, agreements, performance etc.

  • Maintain and develop agreements with the suppliers and partners of GSD

  • Develop work flow and logistic models with suppliers and partners

  • Follow up, forecast and communicate GSD supply needs

  • Close cooperation with GSD purchasing and quotation functions to support if needed

  • Secure that supplier data such as delivery conditions, prices and lead times are updated in SAP

  • Ensure adherence to GSD Quality System

  • Support and regularly follow up the Design to Cost (DtC) actions as well as preferred suppliers involvement

  • Define, report and reach targets for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation(QDCI) in the scope.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

  • Commercial or Technical background, B. Sc. or equivalent experience

  • 3 years of International sourcing

  • Strong Negotiation and relationship building skills

  • Success in collaborating with key work partners and able to build and maintain relationships

  • Strong presentation and writing skills with ability to communicate clearly and express self well in groups and in one-to-one conversations

  • Ability to gather relevant information systematically; consider a broad range of issues or factors; grasp complexities and perceive the relationship among problems or issues; seek input from others

  • Knowledge of MacGregor products and supplier base preferred

  • Understanding of aftersales market needs

  • Knowledge of Strategy implementation and monitoring

  • Fluent in English, additional languages like Swedish/ Norwegian/Polish/German or Mandarin language are appreciated.
