Technical Support Engineer Automation & Software

Purpose of the position

The technical support engineer is responsible for handling all internal and external technical requests that may arise in our region. This position will cover design and document creation, Programming on PLC/PC/operator’s panels etc. as required.

Be part of the 24/7 remote support team.

This position will have a special and close connection to the region customer’s, sales, operations, and service projects team to enhance our offering capability and support. A close cooperation with NB (New Building) is essential to collaborate for feedback and handover.

Collaboration with other regions and functions are required

 

Key tasks:

 

1.  Technical support

  • Technical advice and information

  • Troubleshoot and fault finding

  • Engineering and programming

  • Digital services and solutions

  • Special technical surveys

  • Technical service travel

  • Manage external parties as applicable and be single point of contact

2.  Spares support

  • Support spare sales

  • Identifying maternal clean material master data (MMD)

  • Generate/update recommending spares list(s) 

3.  Technical Documentation Support

  • Support technical documentation team in creating technical instructions

  • Arrange technical information to/from Suppliers

  • Make technical instructions/bulitines 

4.  Training support

  • Support making training documents and if required participate or perform training

5.  Service Projects

  • Support projects with offering, design, and documentation

Others

  • Implement strategic plans and create and maintain business cases for one or more complex product/product groups/solutions.

  • Follow the rules of the Quality System / Ensure to follow the rules of the Quality System

  • Update ERP, drawing, document systems etc. according to our standards

  • Maintain the status reporting on all problems identified and record all corrective actions in a timely, accurate and adequate manners for lessons learnt

  • Cooperation with Network

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education 

  • Higher education on the Bachelor or Master level, preferably in the fields of science

Experience 

● >5 year track record from relevant service business as well as relevant products 

● Innovation 

● Continuously improve current processes and ways of working in the organization. ● Networking and influencing 

● Influence and negotiate with key external and internal stakeholders 

Competences 

● Work independently to complete given assignments and projects. 

● Influence on and negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders. 

● Commercial & negotiation experience and interest 

● Suitable technical knowledge on your own products to enable best practice towards the customer. 

● Leading and supervising projects 

● Excellent social and communication skills 

● Fluent in English
