Senior Manager, Global Service Center ANS

Purpose of the position

 

 

We are looking a Senior Manager for our Global Service Center (GSC) for the Americas and North Sea (ANS) region in MacGregor Global Services Division (GSD). The manager will lead and direct the Global Service center activities for the ANS region according to corporate objectives, strategy, and business needs, and best market practice. The role will also have full responsibility for overseeing activities related to the flow of spare parts process. The operations are located in different locations within the US and Europe incl. Gdansk/Poland.

The successful candidate will also be expected to be part of the project to set up of the ANS GSD warehouse. This role is new and it will be based in our Hampton, Virginia office.



The key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Building and developing the ANS GSC set up, including the team development, integration of the various business areas including the Fishery and Research business and especially stakeholder management
  • Change management in an international and cross continental environment
  • Responsibility for the US Supply Chain (warehouse and logistic activities)
  • Together with team leaders: Lead the activities of the operational unit in order to achieve its short and long-term strategic financial and operating objectives as set by the overall business plan. This is done within the principles of work safety, environmental protection, regulations, values, policies and the Cargotec Code of Ethics
  • Working in close cooperation with the two existing Global Service Centers (EUR and ASIA) to ensure a common way of working and reporting
  • Planning and implementing continuous efficiency improvements

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

In order to succeed in this role you should have a relevant university degree (MSc / BSc) or equivalent experience. You need to have experience in managing in an international environment in a B2B environment; experience of marine industry is considered an advantage, as well as experience with working in or leading a global shared service center organization.  You will need a minimum three years’ management and leadership experience
