Manager Procurement, Fishery & Research

MacGregor AOS is looking for an enthusiastic flexible and open minded person to take the position of Manager Procurement, Fishery & Research.
You will be reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing and Supply direcictly.     

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Shortlist, assess and accept/reject potential suppliers
  • Contract negotiations with suppliers and partners to create best overall cost saving 
  • Plan procurement activities and issue Purchase Orders for project materials
  • Ensure that product mix enables redundancy in components and minimize risk
  • Input to other departments in OSD relative to budgeting and project costs
  • Identify synergies in component usage in the total product mix and execute initiatives to collect the identified synergies. 
  • Build up and maintain supplier network for steel structure production, and complete assemblies
  • Perform work breakdowns in production and propose alternative production sites.
  • Internal auditor and perform QA & HSE audits of new suppliers.
What you’ll need to succeed:

We are looking for a person who can create and build trust with colleagues and clients with good communication and negotiation skills and a winning attitude. 

Ideally you have: 

  • Adequate education at Master or Bachelor level specialization within SCM with good technical knowledge is preferred
  • Financial understanding and experience
  • Good understanding in commercial / trade legislations
  • 5 years’ experience in a Manager position
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written
  • Ability to generate new ideas
  • Good knowledge to MacGregor OSD products
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Willingness to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in teams, motivate and inspire others
