MacGregor is looking for a Head of Sales for the Business Unit, Fishery & Research Solutions. The position reports to the Vice President, Fishery and Research. The role is responsible for the Sales department within FAR, MacGregor. It contributes to MacGregor’s growth and innovation strategy within Fishery & Research Market. This position can be based in Norway, Sweden, and Germany.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Management and leadership of the Sales Department in FAR to ensure successful sales/Order Intake 
  • Secure profitable business growth on the responsibility area
  • Create customer-centric culture in the Sales Department
  • Drive value-based selling
  • Management and leadership of the Sales Department to ensure successful execution of Market to Order (MTO) and that sales targets are met such as agreed quality, delivery schedules and costing
  • Responsible for development, communication and implementation of BL strategy as a member of FAR Management Team. 
  • Continuous improvement of the Sales department in FAR. In particular to increase competitiveness and effectiveness in close cooperation with peers.
  • Support and collaborate with Global Services Division (GSD) to lift customers' lifecycle experience 
  • Responsible for reporting monthly status, risk and forecast
  • Continuously improve and strengthen organizational competence in accordance with the strategy requirements.
  • Ensure operations in accordance with MacGregor, Cargotec standards, and applicable national rules and regulations.
  • Participate in corporate initiatives as appointed by Head of Business Line
  • Other duties as assigned by Head of Business Line and OSD priorities.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

  • Higher education, minimum BsC level / preferably Master for relevant areas 
  • 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, sales, and Project management
  • 5 years of leadership experience with proven skills
  • Good understanding of legal challenges incl. risk management 
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Positive and motivating leadership
  • Performance- and change management
  • Business mind-set
  • Excellent English written and verbal
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to details and multi-tasking.
