The Fishery and Research (FAR) business line builds on the proud legacy of the Norwegian brands Triplex and Rapp. Triplex was established in Averøy in 1933 to serve the fishery and offshore industry. Rapp Marine has its roots from a Norwegian company established in 1907 and based in Bodø. The companies are famous for developing high performing winches, cranes and other solutions for fishery and research vessels.
We're looking for an Account Manager who will join our team of professionals. In this role you will be responsible for sales activities of MacGregors products within the Fishery and Research segment towards customers worldwide.
The position is based in Averøy, Norway, however other locations might be considered. The Account Manager will be reporting to Senior Sales Manager in Fishery and Research.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the maritime sector, focusing on MacGregor deck machinery.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of MacGregor’s product offerings and industry trends to effectively communicate value to clients.
Negotiation and Closing: Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and support teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of products.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in sales or account management within the maritime or industrial machinery sector
- Good understanding of deck machinery and maritime operations is highly desirable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets
- Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events
- Fluent in Norwegian and English language, both written and verbal.
