Become a part of our team as Service Engineer- Mechatronics or Automation
We are looking for a talented Service Engineer who will do repair and maintenance work for the MacGregor product range, plus 3rd party makers if needed.
Our professional team of service engineers ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, accurately and in a friendly manner. In addition to supporting management and the rest of the organisation in necessary areas. You will also support Service overall goals and budgets, while ensuring that all activities comply with the Integrated.
Our office is located in Arendal however most of the work is performed onboard vessels or offshore installations, therefore willingness to travel is essential.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Professionally supervise and perform service activities such as refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions on MacGregor and equivalent equipment
- Provide information and write reports as required
- Cooperate with the local MacGregor service network
- Recognize service and spares sales opportunities and communicate with relevant departments
- Support sales activities such as follow-up on leads and quotes while at site, as agreed with sales responsible
- Follow all site safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
- Comply with all relevant safety and quality requirements according to MacGregor standards.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Technical education at Bachelors- or Technical College level within Mechatronics or Automation. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
- PLC experience/Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, HMI, Drives
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel is essential
- Proficient in spoken and written English
