MacGregor Global Service Division (GSD) is looking for a talented and motivated Purchaser, who can be located in Kristiansand or Arendal.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring efficient, accurate, and cost-effective purchasing processes. You will coordinate with Logistic centres on stock replenishment and other purchasing aspects. Additionally, you will provide valuable support to the sales team during the quoting process, ensuring smooth operations and optimal results. Your expertise will be vital when utilizing the Spares & Logistics system effectively, in line with established instructions. When required, you will collaborate with the Customer Care (CC) department, fostering a cohesive workflow.

We are looking for a candidate who can shape and contribute to developing our purchasing routines. Your role will extend to executing and delivering reports upon
request, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making. Moreover, your visionary approach will contribute to the growth and advancement of our purchaser organisation.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Prepare purchase orders and follow up on suppliers
• Coordinate activities related to commodity purchases such as pending inquiries, order confirmation etc.
• Update Customer Offer with needed price and delivery information
• Take action in accordance with current ERP system for replenishment of stock items
• Comply and perform according to contractual agreements for spares supply
• Delivery in accordance with agreed Terms & Conditions
• Ensure purchase documentation is ready for invoicing
• Create and send final invoice to customer

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Commercial / technical Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the same or similar position
• Computer skills; skilled Excel user, SAP experience, Google package (G Suite)
• Technical mindset
• Good understanding of logistic handling
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
• Good English, both written and spoken
