MacGregor's Global Service Division (GSD) is looking for an Area Controller GSD Norway & UK who will serve as Finance Business Partner for the Area management team, supporting to drive sales and service operational excellence in Norway & UK.
The position is located in Arendal or Kristiansand, Norway or the UK.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Support Norway & UK Region, Branch and Regional Account Managers in:
- Implementation of GSD strategy and corporate strategic initiatives
- Tactical decisions about demand and lead development including planning of area account sales, pricing, business cases and any relevant financial support
- Steering performance of sales and service operations by creating structured sales and gross margin targets, consistently measuring outcome and investigating the root causes of any deviations
- Support Regional Controller in forecasting market growth (potential), share of wallet (or gap-to-potential) and profitability by product and customer segments in Norway & UK
- Review of cost budgets, forecasts, analysis of variances and driving cost optimization initiatives in Norway & UK
- Monitor quality of and compliance with internal controls and risk management activities
- Prepare periodic management reports
- Support internal development projects
- Support other Finance Team members where necessary
What you’ll need to succeed:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- Minimum three years experience in controller role, ideally in an international B2B environment, preferably in after-sales
- Customer-focused and result-driven
- Business and commercial skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Solid knowledge of finance and control (cost accounting, IFRS and performance management)
- Knowledge of internal controls and process compliance
- Communication, management and presentation skills
- Ability to build rapport cross-functionally and comfortable to work in “virtual” teams
- Some short term travel for meetings when required
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
