QEHS Manager, GSD Region Europe

Purpose of the position

We are looking to recruit an experienced professional to join our team as the new QEHS Manager, GSD Region Europe. Our new QEHS Manager will have their daily work in the Global Services Division, region Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the Integrated Management System in the region as well as actively promoting safety awareness.  The role is open for candidates from various locations such as Aberdeen, Kaarina, Genoa, Hamburg, Gothenburg, and Athens. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Integrated Management System in the region, including the GSD Operating Principles Manual, to ensure that procedures in the region are in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001, and other applicable standards and requirements;
• Maintain an annual plan for mandatory activities according to the ISO certification and ensure that the activities are carried out;
• Actively promote and build up safety awareness and understanding, and support and carry out safety training and development of staff;
• Follow up on incident reporting and carry out root cause analysis;
• Responsible for KPI reporting and performance measurement development in the region;
• Facilitate update and tracking of progress for Region Europe strategy X-matrix. 
   

What you’ll need to succeed

• University degree (MSc / BSc), engineering or equivalent;
• 3 years of relevant experience with Quality, Environment, Health and Safety;
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards and integrated management systems, together with auditor experience of same;
• Experience from the maritime industry is preferable;
• Customer-focused and result-driven;
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills;
• Willingness to travel abroad;
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
