Project Engineer

Purpose of the position

 

 

MacGregor Global Services Division (GSD) is currently looking for a new Project Manager for our OSD Service Projects, to be responsible for execution of service projects in GSD and to achieve the agreed financial targets and milestones. 


The role will cover the overall coordination of the assigned service project delivery and manage the supported needs by the help of GSD Technical Support, Global Sourcing, New Build engineering resources and others when needed. This role will in addition support  service projects tendering and sales activity when needed.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

 

●Oversee and manage service project activities in accordance with Operating Principal Manual (OPM), Integrated Management System (IMS) and project execution guideline

●Strive to keep GM% within set range and healthy cash flow through the projects and manage and lead allocated project team

●Manage external parties as applicable and be single point of contact and monitor project progress KPI’s, make adjustments as required to ensure successful completion

●Manage changes to project scope, schedule and cost

●Prepare regular progress- and financial reports and escalate to management according to reporting structure

●Ensure that customers meet the obligations as set out in the contract payment terms and conditions in conjunction with Finance/Legal dept

●Participate and/or coordinate sales/tendering work when needed

●Host customers visiting our premises and occasional visits to customers, suppliers or other external parties

●Continuous risk management according to risk management system

●Handover to maintenance group when needed

●Assist in claim handling when needed

●Participate in continuous improvement of processes and culture

●Implement strategic plans and create and maintain business cases for one or more complex product/product groups/solutions

●Follow the rules of the Quality System / Ensure to follow the rules of the Quality System.
 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

 

Education


●    Higher education on Bachelor or Master level, preferably in the fields of engineering or finance.  Alternatively comparable or equal degrees or equivalent due to experience

●    5 year track record from relevant service business as well as relevant products
●    Innovation

●    Work independently to complete given assignments and projects.
●    Influence on and negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders.
●    Commercial & negotiation experience and interest
●    Ability and interest of learning new tools and way of working
●    SAP competence is desired
●    Suitable technical knowledge on your own products to enable best practice towards the customer.
●    Leading and supervising projects
●    Excellent social and communication skills
●    Fluent in English.
