What we are looking for

 

MacGregor Global Services Division (GSD) Human Resources is currently looking a new Human Resource Manager to be responsible for developing and promoting the overall global HR agenda in the Americas and North Sea region, consisting of our Service entities in the UK, Norway, USA, and Brazil. This role would ideally be based in Aberdeen, UK or in the northern part of UK with good connections - other GSD locations may be considered.

Your main responsibilities in this position would be

  • Enabling the regional strategy and implementation of regional and global HR objectives

  • Driving the MacGregor cultural change in your region

  • Enabling GSD managers to perform in HR related matters by acting as their HR business partner

  • Ensuring leadership is improving in line with MacGregor and Cargotec HR strategies and policies

  • Bringing the organisation specific needs and views to the GSD HR director and the GSD HR team to discuss

  • Responsible for providing feedback and information from their respective organisations for defining and developing an annual HR plan and objectives

  • Responsible for active communication on HR related topics in different media.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

We are looking for an HR professional with solid work experience in a business partner or HR manager role of a global matrix organisation, ideally in Marine business or similar. You will have worked with managers on different levels of the organisation and different cultures, and you are comfortable challenging them. You are an excellent communicator and have strong influencing skills. You speak and write fluent English - Norwegian language skills are considered an advantage.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • a university degree (or equivalent) in HR, psychology or social sciences 
  • experience in coaching and/or training leaders
  • experience of global hiring and restructuring processes
  • experience of leading change together with leaders
  • experience of working with Norway and/or USA is considered an advantage

You will be part of

 

Our global services organisation consists of service locations in 30+ countries. We can offer you an interesting role in a constantly changing organisation. In this role you would be responsible for supporting managers in your respective countries, together with the Cargotec HR professionals. You would be part of the regional management team, and you enjoy enabling them to grow in their leadership roles.

You would report to the divisional HR Director, and be part of a small HR team with global colleagues, working seamlessly together across time zones and country boarders to deliver the HR strategy and to develop our culture and leaders.
