Kalmar's Intelligent Crane Solutions division is looking for a Trainee, Crane Automation. In this role you will be working both with Product managers and Customers. Your main functions will be in R&D, engineering and automation. You will be attending company meetings, customer visits and industry trade shows when needed. The position is situated in Tampere.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Roadmap and product life-cycle management support
  • Market requirement survey
  • Product feature verification
  • Delivery projects support
  • Continuous product improvement
  • Active collaboration with different counterparts in order to ensure a successful delivery and support of the Kalmar solution
  • Sales & Marketing Support.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Last year student or recent graduate of M.Sc / B. Sc degree in SW development, automation, information technology, mechanics, electrics or industrial economics
  • Min 1 year total work experience from single or various employer. Industrial or customer service work experience preferred
  • Research & Development (R&D) in machine automation or software industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Logistics business (Container terminal, intermodal facility, trucking industry, etc. (preferred)
  • Systematic and proactive way of working
  • Knowledge from product management / R&D in machine automation or software industry
  • Optionally: Understanding of automation / IT / software
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English.
