Senior SW Developer

Kalmar is looking for a Senior SW Developer to join the Digital Solutions team in Kalmar’s Strategy, Sustainability and Technology function.   In this role, you will join a team of experts building our AWS based IoT platform. You are able to implement new features independently and work as part of the team.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Several years of professional experience in designing and developing software, preferably in a cloud environment like AWS
  • Strong working knowledge in programming languages like Typescript, Python or Java
  • Working knowledge of technologies like containers, serverless computing, data streaming, ETL, microservices, relational databases (Postgres or MySQL), noSQL databases and REST APIs
  • Exposure to cloud automation and infrastructure configuration management tools like CDK, CloudFormation or similar
  • Natural drive for continuous learning and interacting with the development team community
  • Proficiency with agile and lean software development methodologies
  • Analytical problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills allowing collaboration with stakeholders from various backgrounds
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
  • B.Sc(Eng.) or higher in software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

  • Experience with AWS services like ECS, RDS, Lambda, Glue, Kinesis Data streams, Kinesis Firehose, S3, DynamoDB, Athena, IoT Core, Greengrass
  • Experience with Linux, GIT, Docker, JIRA, Confluence
  • AWS certificates
